200 years Masterpiece

De Kempenaer Advocaten is one of the oldest law firms in the Netherlands. As early as 1816 Jacob Mattheus de Kempenaer established himself as a lawyer in the Zwanenstraat. The beginning of a masterly career and a close connection with the city, which is still visible and tangible everywhere in Arnhem.

Masterpieces in Arnhem

The 200th anniversary in 2016 will be celebrated with small and large masterpieces. In Zwanenstraat, a six-metre wide lace strip will be installed, a book will be published in the series 'Arnhem histories' and in November, the Stadstheater will be the setting for a special circus performance, created especially for De Kempenaer by the makers of Cirque de la Liberté.

Jacob de Kempenaer was truly involved. Always close by, approachable and looking to connect. In that respect, little has changed at De Kempenaer in 200 years. Even now we support numerous social and cultural initiatives that give colour to Arnhem. With a preference for art, culture, fashion and design.
